Hi everyone! We've got some new patterns to go with our Ducks in a Row fabric collection:
This one is my favorite so far, Charming Checks. Its made with Ducks in a Row Charm Pack and yardage. It's a nice size- about 40 x 53. I think this will make a great kit quilt - Kits?....Yes! Click HERE to get yours! I will be making up a sample quilt too! I'd like to say I am making the sample for you all to see this quilt made up..... which is a true story, BUT I really wanna make this quilt because it's so darn cute!

My work is done for today...time to play! I'm going to get started on this quilt kit from my Aunt Ellen.
I'm going to slice it up , stitch it up, quilt it up, put a tidy binding on it and gift it right back to her all set to use and enjoy. I'll chart my progress here with photos as I bring this beauty to life. Now...where is my sharpest rotary cutter? I can hardly wait to get started !

Milky Way Quilt in Progress . I put a sharp bladed rotary cutter to good use this evening and got sew many squares rectangles and triangles cut up!
I couldn't resist stitching together a few of the big star blocks. Happy happy!

Here is a free pattern from MODA to make a cover for your quilting companion, your friend , your SEWING MACHINE! (O.K. sometimes when the bobbin runs out I think my machine is not my friend but I love her sew much I can't stay mad for long :)

Today I'm working on Tina's little Kim Diehl quilt. Tina liked the way the designer had shown the quilting in her book, Simple Charms, with cross hatching and a basket weave fill around the perimeter. This quilt, titled Short and Sweet, features leaves appliqued in wool. Quilted with #Aurifil 2396 Sand makes the stitching Oh sew wonderful!
I'm going interpret that declaration as an additional permission to kick back and do what we love to do all month long. What will your quilting pleasure be during March 2014? Something brand new? A fresh quilt project for spring , a quilt that will be a gift for the inevitable flurry of weddings , births and graduations that the months of May and June embody? A project for charity to comfort or support those in need of both?

Today I am finishing Jamie's gorgeous Triple Irish Chain. Some featheration in the center of the quilt and curved feather framed leaves in the borders. Too much fun! #Aurifil 2890 #quiltshop
