Hi my name is Carol Detloff. Rocking Chair Quilts started in 2003 as a machine quilting service. We became a quilt shop in 2012 and haven’t looked back. A love of all things fabric drives everything about RCQ . My latest addiction is foundation paper piecing. I never thought I would try paper piecing, well…. never say never I guess.
I love my family, my job and making quilts. I love to cook, grow flowers in the summer and crocheting in the winter. When the weather is right I do like to ride my bike. I am pretty good at cooking because I am so good at eating. I am not so good at gardening, but learning about it is fun. The bike riding, I have a old cruiser bike, one speed with coaster brakes, so not a high level or fast outing, just some fresh air and sunshine while I think about making my next quilt.
