Making Chances

It's a very exciting time in the life of my small business.  We are making a lot of decisions about the direction we are heading .   Everyday is exciting, fun, scary , exhilarating and exhausting.  Not always in equal measure.

It has not been my nature to take a risk, step outside my comfort level.

I have been reading and Googling a lot of informational and  motivational ideas from people who have navigated their way through it.  I especially connected with this quote:

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was greater  than the risk it took to blossom."   Anais Nin

I can hardly wait to  see where I land on the other side of chance taking.

Spa Sorbet from Micheal Miller Fabrics

I'm thinking I love to see birds on fabric!  I've been pouring over collections to order for our online store and I THINK we need some collections with bird fabrics.  This one 'Spa Sorbet' from Micheal Miller Fabrics may be a contender with a modern slate of prints in light colors. CLICK AND LOOK at what we've selected to date!

Enjoyable moments in each day keep you centered. Especially when you decide to make some  changes in your plans- as a means to an end- and the changes involve such an investment of time you get too busy and forget to take some of those moments each day. 

So I was feeling pretty scattered - jumping  back and forth between tasks, (  I  still think multitasking is a myth)   and  feeling like I wasn't accomplishing any of them,  Then I got back to the business of quilting.   Getting back to being with fabric, choosing it cutting it sewing it quilting it ....enjoying it.  It calms me down centers me back to where I need to be .  Clear of mind and grateful that I work  around fabric, on fabric , with fabric  and ultimately for fabric.
