Can RCQ edit or change your account information?
No. Only you can edit your saved shipping addresses and payment information.
How do i change my account email address or password?
You can't change your email address : Customers needing to update their email address should create a new account with the new email address.
YES you can change your password. Customers can use the Forgot password? link in the Sign In window to reset their password.
Can i save my PayPal account as a payment method?
No. You can only save credit card information and billing addresses.
Can i check out without an account?
Yes, signing into an account at checkout is optional. Customers without accounts can check out as a guest.
Will orders made while checking out as a guest (signed out) appear in my account?
No, orders placed while signed out won’t be included.
Q. When will my order ship?
A.We strive to get your order to you as soon as we can. Most orders placed before 2 p.m. (CDT) can ship the same business day.
We work diligently to get orders out quickly so you can enjoy your purchase as soon as possible We process orders during weekday business hours CST. If an order is placed after hours, on a weekend or holiday, the order will be processed during the next (2) business days. Occasionally items may be shipped separately.
Shipping time varies by location and is also based on the shipping provider's holiday observances. Special offers for FREE shipping are most often sent USPS Priority Mail.
Q. What shipping services do you use?
A. We offer a variety of the USPS (United States Postal Service) and UPS (United Parcel Service) shipping services.
Q. The tracking number I received isn't working.
A. It can take up to 24 hours for tracking numbers to populate for most shipping services (USPS, UPS). USPS First Class shipments and International Orders are not always track-able.
Q. Can I ship fabric to someone else?
A. Of course! Whether it's a gift or you are currently traveling, we will ship your fabric to you anywhere you are. You can enter a shipping address that is different than your billing address at the checkout screen.
Q. I live nearby, can I shop online and pick up my order?
A. Of course! Simply let us know you will be picking up your order in the quilt shop in the 'Notes' box at checkout and we will refund the shipping amount charged back to your payment card and hold your order here at the shop for you.
Q. There's a problem with my order.
A. Please contact us so we can resolve the issue you have. We want you to be happy with your purchase!
Q. Why didn't my order qualify for free shipping?
A. At Rocking Chair Quilts, for United States orders, if you spend $100 or more on products , select USPS Priority Mail and use promo code "ENJOY THE SEW" at checkout, the shipping's on us. You must type this code to get the discount, it is not automatically applied for you. We are sorry that we cannot offer free shipping to our international customers at this time..
Q. Why won't my promo codes work?
A. Please make sure you have a qualifying order (minimum $ amount spent etc. ) that you have spelled the code correctly and that your code hasn't expired. If you continue to have issues PLEASE contact us BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR ORDER and we will do our best to help you get your coupons applied. For the free shipping on orders of $100 or more you MUST select the select USPS Priority Mail SHIPPING option to get free shipping.
Q. Why didn't I receive the promotional sales discounts or holiday sale free shipping with my qualifying order?
A. At Rocking Chair Quilts, when we issue special promo codes for sales events you must type this code into the box at the checkout screen to get the discount, it is not automatically applied for you. We cannot apply the discounts after you have submitted the order. See illustration below:

Q. Can I combine orders?
A. If your orders arrive in succession we will normally contact you to see if you'd like us to combine them for you and refund some of your shipping costs (where applicable). If we have already shipped one of your orders then of course, we are unable to combine them.
Q. OH no! I think I just placed my order more than once! What should I do?
A. A duplicate order rarely happens but if we do receive a duplicate order we will contact you ASAP to check with you about what you wanted to order and INSTANTLY refund any duplicate charges. etc. back to your payment card.
Q. Why was sales tax added to my order?
A. Sales tax of 6.25% is included for orders shipped to Illinois residents only.This is subject to change as tax rates and laws change regarding online commerce.
Q. On every product page it says 'fabric is sold by the half yard' OR 'fabric is sold in continuous 1/2 yard increments ' I don't understand what that means?
A. You must buy at least 1/2 yard of any fabric yardage. When entering a quantity to add to your cart you are entering the number of total half yards that you want. For example: when you enter quantity of 8 (half yards) you will receive one 4 yard piece of uncut fabric.
OUR FABRIC IS PRICED AND SOLD BY THE HALF YARD.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE CUT YOUR YARDAGE INTO A BUNCH OF HALF YARD PIECES : we make a single cut off the bolt.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
WE MAKE A SINGLE CUT OFF OF THE BOLT.
If you put a quantity of 1 in the QUANTITY box you will get 1/2 yard of fabric
Put 2 in the box and you will be ordering a ONE YARD PIECE of FABRIC
Put the number 3 in the QUANTITY BOX and you will be ordering 1 1/2 yards of that fabric. YOU WILL GET A SINGLE LENGTH THAT IS 1 1/2 YARDS LONG.
Put 22 in the box and you will be ordering an ELEVEN YARD PIECE of FABRIC
and sew on and sew forth
HOW CAN I TELL HOW MUCH OF A FABRIC YOU HAVE LEFT IN STOCK
The web site will not let you order more* fabric than we have on hand.
When you enter a number of 1/2 yards....... let's say 10 - because you want 5 yards of that fabric
then you click the add to cart button, a box will pop and to tell you if we don't have enough for your order.
IT WILL SHOW THE NUMBER OF 1/2 YARD UNITS WE HAVE IN STOCK* and it won't let you add it to the cart until you choose a number equal to or lower than what what shows in that box
* the exception may happen when we get to the end of a bolt and there is a shortage - or a fabric is already sold out and we didn't have enough coffee that day and forgot to update the inventory on the website.
WE ALWAYS ALWAYS WILL CONTACT YOU TO ASK IF YOU STILL WANT TO BUY THE FABRIC IF THE AMOUNT WE HAVE ON HAND IS LESS THAN YOU ORDERED
Q. How can I pay for my order?
A. We accept all major credit and debit cards. If your method of payment is not accepted by our shopping cart we cannot process or ship your order.
Q. Can I use PayPal?
A. YES! yay we now accept PayPal for payment at Rocking Chair Quilts. All transactions are secure and encrypted, and we never store your credit card information.
Q. When do I pay for my order?
A. Your payment card is charged at the time of checkout.
Q. I changed my mind about the fabric I ordered once I received it. Can I return it?
A. Cut fabric is not returnable, unless the item is incorrect because of our error, or contains a manufacturer's flaw. Illinois State Safe and Hygienic Bed Act (PUBLIC HEALTH
(410 ILCS 68/) will not allow unpackaged yard goods to be resold. We do not offer exchanges on cut yardage.
We strive for 100% satisfaction for every customer. Any return requests must be submitted within 30 days of your purchase Refunds will be issued once items are returned to us. Shipping Charges will not be refunded, The items must be in the same condition and packaging you received them in with no signs of use or odor.
Cut yard goods are not returnable (yardage with manufacturing defects or flaws may be returned, Please contact us with questions about defective goods).
Sale items may not be returned.
Due to copyright laws, patterns and books may not be returned.
Return shipping charges are the usually responsibility of the buyer, but we can make exceptions if the return is the result of our error or if you are returning items that were damaged during shipping to you.
